I’ve been coming to Hair by Hong, Oakleigh for over a year now and this is the only salon I come to while living in Melbourne. I have pretty thin Asian-style hair and I personally feel this is the only place who understands how to handle and cut my hair to my style/taste! My hairstylist is Bella, and she is amazing, always knows what I need! My experience has always been fantastic- from the front of house greetings, hair washed, and cut. It has been nothing short of professional and I always feel welcome. Such a friendly, comfortable, chic, & professional ambience and team!

I had the most wonderful haircut experience! The hair salon is modern and bright yet cosy, and the service and skill of the staff are amazing. The receptionist made me feel welcome with a friendly smile and made the registration process really smooth. Dabin, the hairdresser i was assigned to, was very professional yet easygoing during the discussion for the haircut. He asked clear questions about how i would like my hair to look like and gave helpful suggestions for styling in the end. He was very attentive to detail during the cut and it was obvious how skillful he is. It turned out perfect!

I couldn't be happier with my hair! This was my first time at this hair salon. I had found them through a google search and looked at the good reviews that this place got. Dabin did an amazing job with my hair. I have very dry, frizzy and damaged hair and I wanted a new style with waves with some volume. Dabin recommended a special perm and treatment. It turned out really well. I was so nervous to try this place but I was in great hands! Thank you so much for the wonderful result!

I was happy with the haircut with Hailey. She layered my hair really well to suit what I wanted. However, I felt like I was being squeezed into the schedule and didn't like that Hailey didn't have time to style my hair and the person who did it didn't seem like she had much experience. Also, I understand it's faster to blowdry when you have more people but when Bella came to help dry my hair, she wasn't paying attention and was blowing into my ear and was applying heat directly onto my scalp which got really hot. She wasn't looking at what she was doing and showed little care.
