I was visiting Phoenix and it was my first time going to Emg Barbershop. The barbers were all really cool and it was a nice atmosphere overall. Emajanae was awesome — super cool to chat with and gave me a perfect cut. Highly recommend her if you’re in the Ahwatukee / Phoenix area!

Alba was amazing! Wonderful haircut and style to trim damaged ends without sacrificing length. Will definitely return in the future for haircuts as well as color. Lovely salon and I highly recommend Alba as a stylist.

I cannot recommend Maria enough! I came in with a complicated color situation…overgrown roots, uneven blonde, and pink dye that refused to wash out. Maria listened carefully, reassured me, and worked absolute magic. She blended everything flawlessly and even gave me the exact side-swept bangs I asked for (which other stylists often avoid!). Every stylist nearby gasped at the transformation. I left the salon smiling ear to ear; confident, happy, and feeling like myself again. I’ve officially found my stylist!

Larissa is amazing!! Not only does she do a superb job with color; she gives me a beautiful haircut and a clean fade on my sides every time. That is only the start! Not only is she an incredible stylist, she is friendly, hilarious, and SO hospitable. I am absolutely pampered every time I see her.. She even shined my shoes! 😍 10 out of 10, I’ll never go anywhere else for all my hair needs!!!

I went in yesterday afternoon as a first-time client. I wanted my thick, wavy, shoulder-blade-length hair cut short. Like, you-can-see-my-earlobes short. Kathy cut my hair after carefully listening to what I wanted and then asking questions to clarify. Now, I've had my share of bad haircuts over the years, so I'm always a bit anxious with a new stylist. I was thrilled with the cut she gave me. She's also personable and I enjoyed having my hair cut. I'll be back. And especially if your hair is bendy, you might give her a try.

This is my second time I had Tanya cut my hair and she did amazing. Everyone at this salon is so nice and welcoming. I would recommend them to everyone. She did a great job on my haircut and I will continue to go to see her. Tanya listens to what you want and does exactly what you ask. Best hair salon I have ever been too.

From the moment I stepped into the building to when I got on the chair to get my haircut, Theresa was super friendly, professional, and was super communicative. I really liked how easy it was to book and how her form specified beforehand how I want our session to go (ex: sociable session, quiet, etc). I absolutely loved the experience. Her price is reasonable with everything that I got done today. I've always had "ok" haircuts but this was AMAZING. I totally cried from happiness Internally when she was done haha. I definitely recommend her and will be coming back and referring friends and fam.

Second time seeing Alejandra. I live in Seattle and come down to Phoenix 3 to 4 times a year to visit my daughter. Alejandra did such a fantastic job the first time I had to see her again. At this visit she provided me a color consult in addition to my haircut. She also looked at my daughter's wavy hair and describe what she would do for a cut help the curls lay better. So next time I come down for a cut, I will also book my daughter for back to back appointments.

I had a great first visit with Layered Locks LLC. Natalia is very warm and welcoming. We discussed my hair qualities and she proceeded to give me a VERY CUTE haircut with styling. As a newcomer to the area, she helped me navigate the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. I am very pleased, will continue to go to Layered Locks and would recommend them to anyone. Also, her prices are very fair.

Ashlee is a hairdresser I can trust I will always leave with a good result. From color to haircuts or extensions she is very knowledgeable and talented and knows what I need even when I can’t put it into words or don’t know myself. She also has the best personality and energy and makes your appointment enjoyable. We absolutely love Ian. We have followed him all over town, Gilbert, Ahwatukee, and 2 Mesa locations. My 2 boys have such different hair textures, thickness, color, etc. We always ran into problems at other places where they could only nail one of their haircuts, while the other would end up with a goofy bowl cut or their cowlicks stand straight up. Ian listens to what they want and puts a lot of time and care into even the smallest of details.

Theresa is not only talented with cuts and color. She is also a great listener who makes sure you have the haircut/look you had envisioned. She was very patient and she had taken the time to check my hair texture, lifestyle and personality. Getting a haircut can be anxiety driven especially when one has ALOT of hair much less thick strands, Theresa was very kind and welcoming that helped ease my nerves. I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a new look and is not in a rush to get a new GLOW UP! Will definitely come back!

After researching a hairdresser who knows curly hair, I found more than expected. Haircut - A1! Then Alejandra showed me how to get lasting curls. I love the product line that she carries.
