Awesome experience at Prohibition Barber & Bourbon Room in Canmore! The shop has that cozy 1920s speakeasy vibe, super comfortable seating, spotlessly clean, and just a relaxing spot overall (bonus bourbon selection if you want one!). Highly recommend—definitely coming back!

Michaela has been taking care of my hair for the past two years, and I can’t recommend her enough. After some really bad experiences with hairdressers in the past, finding Michaela was a total game changer. Not only has she done my balayage, but she also did my wedding hair and makeup, and everything turned out absolutely brilliant. I have never had better blonde, and she is always punctual and reliable. Even though I now live in Cochrane, it is totally worth the drive out to Canmore to see her.

Lovely Salon with great location, lots of parking and stunning views of the mountains! I went for a hair cut and style with Aleasha. I was looking for a change but not too sure what I wanted. She asked questions, made suggestions and I love the new look. A quick drive from Calgary, a relaxing salon experience and an opportunity to explore the shops in Canmore. A perfect afternoon.

Leesa has been my hairdresser for about 2 years now. Great personality and VERY good at what she does. Experienced and akways good at changing up my style if I want ti have a different look.I am moving back to Edmonton but I will still drive to Canmore just to have her look after my locks!

I am writing a review for Michaela Vankova. I was recommended Michaela by my friend. I have been currently living in Calgary but the trip to Canmore just to have my hair done was absolutely worth the experience!!!!! Michaella is highly professional. Honestly, I have NEVER obtained such a care in my life!!! I She has a very special eye for designing the colour and the cut what also matches your personality. She carefully listens to her customer desires. She is also very detailed oriented, precise, gentle and caring. I recommend Michaela to everyone!!!! 100%!!!! She is the best!!!

Hands down the best barber I’ve ever been to! I traveled from Edmonton for my wedding here in Canmore. Saw that Brendan had amazing reviews and wow did he deliver exactly what I wanted for my wedding day. Extremely detailed, he goes above and beyond a 5 star review. After a year and a half of avoiding the scissors, I finally got my hair cut at Hair and Beauty in the Woods in Spring Creek, Canmore, and wow, was it worth the wait! Nadine worked her magic, and my hair looks amazing—even for someone like me who’s not great with change. She was quick, friendly, and her attention to detail was spot on. Plus, the cheerful vibe of the shop made the whole experience a breeze. If you need a fresh cut in Canmore, Nadine’s your go-to!

I got a haircut about four months ago. It was a disaster. I came here to Canmore for a holiday. We were walking by hair and beauty in the woods. My husband said why don’t you stop in there the best decision I’ve ever made. Nadine she cut my hair exactly how I asked it was the best haircut I’ve had in many years. Thank you so much for such a wonderful job. I would go back again in a heartbeat.

Kate has been my hairdresser for over 5 years now. I have followed her from salon to salon- so happy to have her back in Canmore and in her own salon too! Her colours and cuts are fantastic, she listens to me and achieves exactly what I want!!!!!

Visiting Canmore for a wedding and needed a hair cut. I found prohibition online and couldn’t be happier. My barber Michelle was excellent, great service and an awesome hair cut. I enjoyed a bourbon and some friendly conversation during my visit. I couldn’t recommended prohibition more. Im already sending a couple other guys from the wedding. And I’ll be sure to visit again when I’m back in Canmore.
