I've had the same Justin Bieber haircut since high school. After about 11 years of not really caring about my hair, I decided to start trying since I got a nice job and am going to be 30 soon. I hate haircuts. I'm always disappointed by them and I always avoid them. After looking around Kingston I went with Jimmy; it was exactly what I needed. He used so much precision that I felt like his sculptural art project, and he spent so much time and attention to my needs that I felt like a real person at his salon, not just another number. As long as I'm in Kingston, I'm never going anywhere else.

Absolutely LOVED my experience here! They are so knowledgeable about hair care and are very nice! I scheduled a wash and blowout and it was an amazing experience! My stylist took his time and was a joy to spend time with while being pampered! I will definitely be back next time I'm in Kingston!

Finding a new stylist is always a challenge, but Jimmy made the entire experience effortless. He is a true professional and a color expert who clearly has a passion for his craft. The result is absolutely stunning, and I’ve already received so many compliments! I highly recommend Jimmy to anyone looking for a fresh start and a stylist they can trust.

On a last-minute whim, I called around a couple of hair salons to see if I could get my haircut. Jimmy himself answered the telephone, and said I was welcome to come right in. Unfortunately, there was an event downtown, and I spent more than a half an hour looking for a parking place, so I called their office back to let them know that it wouldn’t likely work outit would be past their closing hour. However, Jimmy was very accommodating, and told me that he would wait until I was able to find a parking place. Boy, am I glad he did! Hands-down, one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had!

I just received the brow mapping service after months of not giving my brows any love… let me tell you it is WORTH EVERY PENNY!! I’m a blonde with sparse eyebrow hair in some spots and I combined my brow mapping with a henna dye and BOOM-all of a sudden I have brows again! Not only did I receive the results I wanted from the service, but I felt so incredibly relaxed the entire time. I feel so confident with my new brows and I can’t recommend this service, or the Refinery in general, enough!

Amazing experience. It was my sons first haircut at age 5 and Jimmy made the entire experience exciting and flawless. My son absolutely adores his new cut, and he said” mom I think that shop is my new favourite place. We will definitely be back!

My 10 yo son is very picky about his haircuts. Shard was very patient with him, giving him tips on how to style and how to take care of his hair. My son told me we are only going there from here on out.

The while experience was relaxing and easy, went in not really sure what I wanted and left feeling fully satisfied with my haircut. I appreciate being taught how to care for and style my new cut. Will definitely be back. Also very friendly staff! I think I found my new regular place to go.

Every time I go to the refinery it immediately reduces any stress levels walking into the clam and welcoming oasis overlooking market square in downtown Kingston. Can’t top the experience they provide!
