Another amazing haircut. I don't live in New York, but whenever I'm in town, I make sure to come and get my haircut with Rodica. My barber in the town I live in butchered my hair and miraculously she was able to get everything back to normal. Strong recommendation again.

Been getting my hair cut by Ilker for a while now and he never disappoints. Great attention to detail, excellent fades, and always takes the time to make sure everything is perfect. One of the best barbers I’ve had in New York. Highly recommend.

Jake is highly professional barber, understood my hair type. He gave me an excellent haircut and beard trim.However, two things bothered me. 1, I requested a fade from the bottom, he initially mentioned it would cost extra as it takes more time. This didn’t seem accurate, as I’ve had the same fade for over a year, and the entire haircut and beard trim typically take less than 40 min. That said, he didn’t end up charging me extra, which I appreciated. 2, I was directly asked if I would tip, which I found it really awkward .While I always tip, being asked outright was uncomfortable. It was my first time at Hayato. Although it looked a bit dated, the service was exactly what I was looking for. Great shampoo experience and Mina my hairdresser was a super Japanese stylist. Jamal, and his assistant Talia, are extremely kind, utterly professional, thorough and an absolute joy with whom to spend the afternoon. Jamal is a wizard with sensitive hair, and fixed my damaged hair so that it looks and feels healthy and amazing!! It was a great blessing to find them; I only wish they were in New Jersey :-) so I shall have to go up to New York many many times in the future!!

The shop is very welcoming, clean and has a very positive vibe. I came to the shop because Master Barber Jan Dogar recently joined the team and he has been cutting my hair for the last several months. His work is thorough, consistent and thoughtful. I am an older guy with not that much hair, so it is crucial to me what I do have looks as good as it can. Jan totally gets it and does an outstanding job. His expertise and kind, friendly demeanor make for a great experience overall!
