11/10 experience! This salon was clean and the staff was nice and efficient. I’ve been to many salons and this was the most thorough hair wash and scalp massage I’ve ever had. And Curly was just amazing! I had the best experience with him. He listened and took his time to get my cut as precise and perfect as possible. He also gave me styling tips and got my pin straight hair to look voluminous like I wanted. Glad I found my new go to spot, and for my cut to be under $100 with tip is unheard of in New York.

Such a lovely experience. The salon is really nice and Iryna was even nicer and very professional. I did a conditioning treatment and a blow dry and my hair looks amazing. Honestly one of the best blow dries I had in a long time!

Excellent experience. Chi was very informative and offered great new styling techniques. Great relaxing atmosphere. Great music, fantastic aroma in the air. And a great relaxing eye mask during shampoo. I felt very pampered!

Curly always does a great job, and pay attention to details. TOTO Hair staff are always polite and never rude. Love the assistant Jessica that did my daughter's deep conditioning. Have been going there for decades, and bringing my growing up kids there.

Giulia is THE BEST! After I treated my roots with DIY at home and was using a shampoo that ruined the coloring she had done a few months back, she took me in, fixed my own messy doing, and made my hair beautiful, healthy, and gorgeously highlighted and colored. I promised I won't touch it ever again! Also important to mention, her hand is gold. My hair falls a lot due to an underlying medical condition and after the last cut back in Dec 2021, my hair grew quite a lot! She is sweet and very honest. Thanks, Giulia!

Never knew how bad I needed to come here until I did. Can’t go back to my barber anymore. What exceptional service. The individuals here take great care of you. If you’re thinking of getting a massage, don’t think about it, just do it! And as for a haircut - I came in with my hair having no shape, minimal volume, no umph. Thanks to Silvia’s attention to detail and time, I’m leaving more than happy with my new style. Thank you again.

It was my first time at Hayato. Although it looked a bit dated, the service was exactly what I was looking for. Great shampoo experience and Mina my hairdresser was a super Japanese stylist. She listened to what you wanted and then offered her opinion. Highly recommend for a true New York Japanese hair salon. Thank you!

Milli/10 experience at Roots!! I had an appointment with Sabrina for loc maintenance and repair. She was so nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. She made me feel very comfortable asking questions and was so welcoming. Everyone at Roots was warm and kind, and the atmosphere is great. I'll be back for sure.

I’ve been coming to this salon for now 12 years and the only person who I trust my hair with is Sophie. When I first came here my hair was extremely dry and brittle but she changed that by using a really good deep conditioning and when I want to change hair color, which I do with every changing of seasons, Sophie gives me exactly what I want but she will definitely give you her honest opinion if what you want will not be good for you. I trust Sophie 100%.
