What are the 4 types of nail polish?

The four types of nail polish are: regular nail polish, gel, shellac, and acrylic. Regular nail polish is the type of polish you probably first started using when you were younger. It’s easy to apply and remove at home, and typically lasts around a week before it starts to chip. What's better gel or nail polish?

It’s really down to personal preference. Gel nail polish is stronger and lasts longer (2-3 weeks) than traditional nail polish (1 week). Both can create a high-shine finish and both can be applied in salons or at home. Traditional nail polish dries in the air and can be removed at home using nail polish remover. Gel, on the other hand, needs to cure under a UV lamp and should be removed professionally in a salon to help preserve nail health.
