What is leg waxing and how is it done?

Leg waxing is a hair removal method for the legs. Hair removal is achieved by placing hot or cold wax on your legs, then stripping it off quickly in the opposite direction to your hair growth to extract hairs from the root. Soft wax is normally used in leg waxing, and sees a thin layer of warmed wax applied to your skin using a wooden spatula or roller. How long does the effect of leg waxing last?

What are the different types of leg waxing?

There are two types of leg waxing: full leg – which removes hair from the top of your thighs to the base of your ankles – and half leg – which removes hair from below your ankle to just above your knees, or from your thighs to your knees.

Is leg waxing safe for all skin types?

Your skin also needs to be as oil free as possible, so take care to shower, exfoliate, and refrain from moisturising your legs before your appointment. When you’re ready, warmed soft wax is spread thinly onto your legs, and wax strips placed firmly on top.
