An infrared sauna is a type of sauna that uses infrared heat to detoxify your body, promote healing, boost your mood and more. Unlike traditional steam and dry heat saunas which work at very high heats, infrared heat lamps are effective at lower temperatures, which makes the sauna experience more comfortable. The lamps use electromagnetic radiation (which is different to risk-posing UV radiation) to heat your body.

You’ll sit or lie down on a bench or on a mat on the floor and within about 15 minutes, you’ll start to sweat. The warmth should help relax your muscles and boost your circulation. Your session is likely to last between 30-60 minutes.
Infrared saunas are considered low risk, however you should take care to drink plenty of water before and after your session to help keep you hydrated and to prevent dizziness or overheating. Avoid using an infrared sauna if you have a heart condition.
