I came to Tala Beauty Bar for laser hair removal on my back and shoulders. They use the Venus Velocity diode laser, and the results have been impressive even early on. It’s rare to find this level of technology and quality at such fair pricing in downtown Toronto. Mina was excellent and very patient, and she made sure everything was done properly. I felt comfortable throughout the entire session. I’ll be continuing the rest of my treatments here. Highly recommend.

Wonderful experience from arrival to departure. My stylist was friendly, professional and provided a great blowout. Craig, the manager, was very helpful - even taking time out to provide me with some excellent local restaurant recommendations (to dive as a local might). I loved the Japanese gel manicure service from From M -Tokyo-! I booked the Monthly Special with nail artist Sayo and requested different colors from the promotion. She managed to make my tiny, dry nails look healthy and beautiful! Sayo is sweet, friendly, and attentive—I felt well taken care of! Everyone in the salon, including the owner, is very welcoming. Alysia was great. She expertly cut and filed my nails. Sounds picky, but I like it when it feels like my tech knows what they are doing with confidence. I got cat eye polish and she took her time and care to ensure the magnet did the full effect to get the classic results. I didn't feel hurried out, like some nail salons and techs make you feel on a Friday night. That being said, I was in and out within the 1.5 hour appointment timeline!

Sekai is hands down the best place for manicures in the city. I used to live super close by so it was naturally my nail salon. Now that I live further I realize how spoiled I was. Every time I get my nails done somewhere else I regret it, so I make a point of travelling back to Sekai when I need my manicure to last. My fave technician is Mithu. She is so kind and takes extra time and care to get my nails just right. My manicures always last longer than from anywhere else, so it’s worth the slightly higher cost. I highly recommend Sekai!
