Yes, with Fresha you can book dry needling appointments online 24/7. Browse practitioners near you, choose your appointment type and confirm instantly.

What conditions does dry needling treat?

Dry needling is commonly used for neck and shoulder pain, lower back pain, headaches, sports injuries, plantar fasciitis, and muscle tightness. It is particularly effective for treating myofascial trigger points that cause localised or referred pain.

What does dry needling actually do?

Dry needling involves the insertion of fine needles into the skin and muscle tissue to reduce muscular and trigger-point pain.

Where can I get dry needling for neck and shoulder pain near me?

Dry needling is highly effective for neck and shoulder tension and trigger points. Browse and book the best dry needling specialists near you on Fresha.

What are the risks of dry needling?

Side effects aren’t common, but could include bleeding or bruising at the needle insertion points. You may also experience dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, and an increase in pain for 24-48 hours after your treatment. If you’re concerned, ask your therapist to talk you through the risks and side effects before your appointment.

Does dry needling hurt?

You may feel a local twitch response when the needle hits a trigger point: a brief, sharp sensation followed by muscle relaxation. Most people experience some muscle soreness for 24–48 hours after treatment, similar to post-exercise soreness.

What happens to your body after dry needling?

The insertion of needles stimulates blood flow and cellular repair, however dry needling is likely to cause your muscle to cramp and twitch involuntarily. This is normal, and known as the local twitch response.
