Best Cupping near me in Décines-Charpieu, Lyon

Cupping aims to eliminate toxins and clear blockages in your body’s energy flow. You’re likely to see this more physically if you opt for wet cupping, a process that punctures the skin with needles and applies the cups to draw out blood. It’s thought that wet cupping can help the kidneys remove heavy metals from your body.

Because the suction created by cupping draws blood to the skin’s surface, you’re likely to experience some discoloration or bruising. It will take anything from a few hours to two weeks for these to disappear completely. You can get rid of the marks more quickly by drinking water and resting.

Many therapists offer cupping as part of a combined massage treatment. Browse and book providers offering combination cupping and massage near you on Fresha.

It depends on your goal and the condition you want to treat. You may initially be advised to have an appointment every 1-2 weeks, but ask your practitioner – they’re best placed to advise you on the session frequency based upon your body and its needs. For general wellness, you can have cupping therapy once a month. You should leave at least a week between appointments.

If you’re booking in with an experienced practitioner, you should expect to pay between €90 and €200 for your cupping treatment.

Cupping is generally not painful: most people describe a pulling or tight sensation followed by warmth and relaxation. The circular marks left on the skin can look dramatic but are not bruises and typically fade within 3–7 days.
