I travel the country 10 months out of the year, so I’ve sat in a lot of different barber chairs from coast to coast. That being said it my opinion that Shine on is the best barber shop in the country. I’m not local to Chicago either, I travel from Arkansas to get my haircut and beard by Julio. I’d trust any member of the staff to cut my hair, everyone is top notch. At shine on you are made to feel like family. I feel like the most handsome man alive every time I leave their establishment.

The entire team at Shine On exceeded expectations. I don’t know thst I’ve had a salon experience in Chicago where I felt I was actually being listened to when explaining what I’m looking for. Noah took the time to explain what he was doing, including what I could expect two and three cuts out. I had eyebrow threading done with Weronicka and she too was amazing. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a grown up experience. I’ll be sharing the Shine On business card with friends and look forward to my next salon day.

As always everyone that works there is wonderful…friendly, conversational, and therapeutic even if that’s where the conversation leads. The hair and beard sculpting skills are second to none and for me, I dig their music. You get what you pay for. I highly recommend Shine On.

First of all, I’m so glad to see this place is still open after the last couple years. I popped in before lockdowns and was very happy with my pedicure. Yes, pedicure. My feet are always in terrible shape in the winter. Never again! I was reminded of the tremendous care given to my most neglected body parts, my feet are always stuffed in a pair of boots, when I made a return visit. I’m walking with a great deal more comfort now and this will be a monthly routine. No more pedestrian austerities. Self care for my size 12 flat feet from now on. Thanks Shine On!

Shine On Salon is a great male personal grooming salon. After the rave comments that I received from my female coworkers after my first haircut, only Julio cuts my hair. I got a really good chair massage while I was there a couple of visits ago. Weronika gets rid of acne, smoothes dry skin, and she is a great esthetician. She is a really sweet person as well. I have been going there for months now and I have nothing but great things about the staff and the salon. .
