Best Barbers near me in Tilgate, Crawley

My son has profound Autism. He has never had a haircut at a barber. Until NOW!! Haircuts have always been such a distressing time for us. Haircuts physically hurt him. Having heard great things about Martin we decided to give it a go. The reassurance received from the onset was so appreciated. The prep beforehand & on the day was incredible. Martin was beyond brilliant. Our son was happy & the haircut happened!! I cannot put into words what was achieved today. Can’t wait to go back!!

Martin at Fred’s Barbers is fantastic he is really patient and reassured my son when he was feeling a bit unsure. I would definitely recommend Fred’s Barbers and take all my boys to have their haircut there.

Brilliant service, friendly and inviting. My 3 year old was nervous as it was his first big boy hair cut in a barbers. Martin took the time to speak to and reassure him when he was nervous. He is now super excited about going again for another haircut. (And lollipop!!) Thank you, Fred's Barbers.

Martin is a fantastic barber that I have been using for over 15 years. He is and always has been outstanding with kids, he especially excels in looking after children with special needs or other issues. Nicki is a new addition to the team and she did a great job on my sons hair.

Took my 2 year old Son here after a few recommendations. Taking my Son to the barbers is like a horror movie, he screams the entire time! Martin was really good with him though, patient, reassured him and even managed to cut his hair really well! Thanks mate!!

Always a good experience going to Fred Barber’s. My son use to hate having his hair cut, use to scream and get hysterical. I had heard how Fred’s was patient with children who didn’t like their hair being done. From his first experience, my son was taken with this place and with Martin for his stylist, now my son will let me take him without no fuss. We’ve gone from hair to his shoulders to even 0.5 on the sides now!! Amazing… would highly recommend.

Martin was as phenomenal as always with Ryan, who has very complex Autism. He took the time and used lots of great strategies to give Ryan the haircut he deserves. In and out in 25 mins - a record!!

Awesome hair cut and beard trim, very quick and neat! Martin is a great guy. I brought my 3 year old son and he didn’t want to leave. Loads of fun toys and cars that he loved playing with.

So glad we found Fred’s which was initially because our regular barber was on hols and we chanced upon Fred’s. So glad we did, won’t go anywhere else now!. Love the way he does my son’s hair. Love him being at Northgate now as parking so much better and the booking system is fab!
