Was regular here when school was located in downtown Hartford almost 10years ago. Decided to check it out again as alternative to barbershop to save money. Just came from wethersfield location. Had hard time finding place&GPS wasn't really helpful in pinpointing exact location! One of the people in charge guided me rest of way. Really appreciate her assistance! The student who took care of me did excellent job! Really knew what he was doing!

I got a silk press, deep condition and hair cut. My hair has never been this smooth and shiny. It has so much body. I will definitely be scheduling another visit with Jenelly.

Serena was absolutely amazing, not only was she gentle with my hair and all my ear piercings she was just an absolute peach all around. She saved my hair from a horrible chop and gave it beautiful volume. So very happy I came and got her. I will definitely be following her after she graduates

About me: 12-14 inches/ 3B & 3C hair type with waves and coils. Stylist applied cholesterol conditioner, trimmed ends and blowed hair out with pin curls. I'm pleased with the attention given by the teacher and stylist.

Tay always does a great job! I appreciate that everyone wants to really listen to what I’m looking for and make sure the cut is right. Tay especially cares about making sure all kinds of people have someone knowledgeable to help with their haircare and even scalp health. I’ve recommended IIC and would definitely come back…unless one of their grads has me as a regular customer in their permanent position!

First time coming to this hair school and I was told that Joe was best for “textured” aka African American hair. He was extremely knowledgeable and provided me with several hair care tips and recommendations. He was very professional and needless to say he now has a new customer!

Gisselle blew my expectations with my hair! I was trusting the process but didn't expect it to come out so good from a student!!! I'm so satisfied I feel beautiful and my hair has so much volume, all the dead ends are gone and it's styled so nicely. I will definitely be coming back and recommending my friends. The environment was also very nice and clean, the staff were very helpful and kind. Overall a great experience!

Excellent service by Dani. My color is perfect, and she even "texturized" my hair--I had my haircut just a few days ago, and this was an added touch that improved the look. She took the extra time to put extra color on darker areas to lighten them, even though it took a little longer to develop. She put a little product in my hair to keep the frizz down, and did a little magic with the blow dryer. She helped me put my coat on--altogether a very pleasant experience, and I love the way my hair looks!
