Facilitated stretching is a technique originally developed as a physical therapy modality. Facilitated stretches entail virtually no risk of injury because there is little or no passive movement involved - the stretcher does the work.

What to expect:
-Upon arrival I will set up the table and any additional equipment needed.
-We will then go over your completed health history form that has been previously emailed.
-Next will be a functional/postural assessment that will determine which muscles are 'short'.  These short muscles; may cause issues concerning posture, the joints, referral pain, limiting range of motion, compensation to one side, and more...
-With the results of this assessment; we can then move on to different stretches that will help these problem areas. I will demonstrate the stretch, communicate how to activate to proper muscles, resist the action of the target muscles, and then direct you to stretch these muscles to your available ranges of motion without compensation.
