Myofascial cupping is a physical therapy technique that uses suction cups to create a negative pressure or vacuum over a specific area of the skin. When the cups are placed on the skin, the vacuum created by the cups helps to lift and separate soft tissue and facilitate its release and mobilization. 
Chinese vacuum cups are used, but evacuated via hand pump rather than flame.  

Myofascial Cupping

A treatment with crystal therapy will do one or a combination of the following:
- Clear blocked and negative energy - Balance and replace the negative energy with positive vibrations
- Promote strengthening and building of chakra energy
- Expand awareness and spiritual development.

This treatment can include reiki - dependant on the client.

Reiki 

A deeply relaxing massage using beautifully sonorous, harmonic, and reassuringly weighted Himalayan Singing Bowls. The low frequency vibrations and resonance produced by them penetrate through all the physical layers down to a cellular level. The client remains fully clothed and only the bowls are in contact with the body. Initially, the bowls will be placed along the back and are then moved in slow, circular movements along the rest of the body including the arms, hips, legs, and feet to effectively "iron" away stress and tension.

Holistic Treatments

For many different reasons the energy (also known as qi/ki/chi) that flows in your body gets blocked - some areas will feel in excess, and others deficient.  Both produce a symptom of dis-ease which you can feel physically, mentally and/or emotionally. Shiatsu (meaning "finger pressure") is when pressure is applied to specific points along the Meridians or Channels in your body.  As well as pressure, certain stretches and joint mobilisations are performed.  All of which aim to balance your "qi", thereby relieving your symptoms.

You'll be lying on a comfy mattress on the floor and as there's no oil you remain fully clothed, so its best to wear something loose and comfortable.

Shiatsu

Bowen Technique is a system of remedial bodywork where the Therapist applies gentle rolling techniques to various "stress-loading" points on the body and then leaves the room for a few minutes at a time in order to allow the Client's system a chance to react and respond in the way it sees fit.  

It's profoundly relaxing to receive which helps the healing process enormously. Some clients feel a lot of sensations inside their bodies, others not so much.  But rest assured things ARE happening, and best of all things are happening because YOUR body wants them to.  

Bowen Technique

Lymphatic drainage massage encourages the drainage of lymph nodes and the movement of lymph fluids around the body. It can help relieve symptoms of lymphedema.

Lymphatic drainage massage

Myofascial Release works very deeply and powerfully despite applying a very gentle sustained pressure, skin on skin, into the connective tissue that envelops every muscle, bone and organ. 

It also helps break up adhesions (internal scar tissue) which can cause pain and restricted movement. It restores motion, releases and realigned the body and eases pain. 
It is a very gentle but potent way of working with the body and let your body release tensions in way it knows best. It will leave you feeling deeply relaxed, feeling lighter and more flexible.

It takes place comfortably lying on a couch, hands on skin, without any oil.

Myofascial Release (John Barnes)

A relaxing massage offering relief from pain and stiffness in the muscles of the face, scalp, neck, upper back and shoulders. 
Please note that some therapists are trained in Indian Head and some in Touch Therapy.


Head Massage (20 Min)

Due to lots of people asking in previous years we have bought a special 20-minute express massage for teenagers. 

Please note that this massage will only be focused on the upper body or Indian head massage depending on the therapist doing the treatment. 

Parents give their consent upon booking for this treatment - if you prefer to stay with your child then this is possible as well. 

Teen Massage (ages 13-17)

A short pick-me-up massage focused on the legs - perfect for when you have been walking round the festival all day. Massage pressure to be determined with your therapist when you arrive. 

Express leg massage

Tui na, also called Chinese medical massage, is a traditional hands-on manipulation treatment method guided by TCM theory. 

Tuina practitioners use a combination of hand and arm techniques to massage and realign the recipient's muscles, bones, ligaments, and tendons. These techniques can include kneading, pressing, rolling, shaking, and stretching. Similar to acupuncture, the practitioner stimulates pressure points in the recipient's body.

A relaxing massage offering relief from pain and stiffness in the muscles of the face, scalp, neck, upper back and shoulders.

Head Massage (45 Min)

An express upper body massage focusing on head, neck, back, shoulder to help ease the tension from camping! Perfect quick pick-me up.
Could be done on a chair or massage bed depending on therapist.

Express upper body massage

Ayurvedic massage combines the 5,000-year-old Indian principles of Ayurveda—the science of life—and pressure points. This type of massage is designed to create balance among the mind, body, and spirit, and help the body heal itself.

During an Ayurvedic massage, a skilled therapist uses various techniques, strokes, and pressures to stimulate energy flow, relax the muscles, and release any accumulated tension or blockages in the body/ specific areas of choice.

Ayurvedic Massage

A beautifully relaxing bespoke massage to help ease tired muscles and for deep relaxation, focusing on the key areas of concern. This massage will leave you fully relaxed, recharged and ready to enjoy the rest of the festival. 

Please note that due to the therapist doing the massage treatments may vary, e.g. added aromatherapy, Swedish, shiatsu massage. With all massage treatments, the therapist will adapt the pressure and techniques used to suit the client’s individual needs and preferences.
