Skin needling, also known as micro-needling or collagen induction therapy is a cosmetic procedure that involves the use of fine needles to create micro, controlled punctures in the skin. These micro- injuries stimulate the body's natural wound healing processes, resulting in increased collagen and elastin production. 

Micro-needling can address fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, hyper pigmentation, and overall skin texture and tone. 

A course of 4 treatments is recommended, at 4 week intervals. Maintenance treatments can be done every 4 to 6 months. 

Topical local anaesthetic can be applied prior to the appointment to minimise discomfort.

Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that treats skin concerns by stimulating collagen production. Also known as collagen induction therapy. This treatment aims to generate new collagen and skin tissue to smooth, firm, and tone skin.

If you're considering a microneedling treatment, growth factors are recommended. This enhanced treatment helps boost collagen production, improve skin elasticity, reduce acne scars and pigmentation, and promote

Microneedling with topical growth factors improves wound healing by reducing reactive oxygen species (ROS) and regulating the inflammatory response.

It can also help eliminate dead tissue by recruiting neutrophils and macrophages.

Studies have found microneedling with growth factors significantly improved atrophic acne scars and was more effective than microneedling with platelet-rich plasma (PRP).
