I absolutely love Yandina Revival Recovery Room! I go to the Monday evening yoga classes with Sam, and she is a fantastic teacher — calm, knowledgeable, and so welcoming. Her classes are the perfect mix of relaxation and gentle challenge, and I always leave feeling completely reset for the week ahead.

After class, I use the compression boots, and they’ve been amazing for my legs and swollen ankle after being on my feet all day at work. The whole experience is so restorative — both physically and mentally.

The space itself has such a peaceful, nurturing vibe, and the team are always friendly.

We just had our first kids yoga class at Revival Recovery Room and it was wonderful! The space felt calm and welcoming, and the instructor was so warm and engaging. My child had a great time moving, stretching, and learning to slow down and breathe. Such a lovely start — we’re already looking forward to next week!

The session starts in our infrared sauna for 5-20 minutes, inducing sweating and relaxation. Then, you move on to the cold immersion for 30 seconds to several minutes. From here, you proceed to the hot magnesium pool for a few minutes, which helps the body return to its normal state, improving recovery and overall well-being. Effects of Cold Water Immersion

Cold water immersion (CWI) induces rapid vasoconstriction  limiting blood flow to extremities while preserving core organ function, which can decrease inflammation, reduce muscle soreness  and enhance recovery post-exercise. The body engages thermoregulatory mechanisms such as shivering and non-shivering thermogenesis to maintain core temperature; however  prolonged exposure can lead to hypothermia  as water extracts heat significantly faster than air. 

CWI triggers a "cold shock response " characterised by increased heart rate, blood pressure  and breathing rate, posing potential risks for individuals with cardiovascular conditions such as, heart strain or arrhythmias. 
Benefits of CWI include reduced post-exercise inflammation and soreness, improved mood and cognitive function, enhanced insulin sensitivity and stress regulation. However risks involve hypothermia  frostbite from extended exposure  and potential dangers of sudden cold shock.
