Lopez Local Youth and Teen Massage

A gentle,  non-invasive,  hands-on modality that brings awareness to our beautiful wave-like rhythmic pulse that flows throughout the body.  Mindfully encouraging the system into its natural state through gentle holds, compressions and pure awareness. 
This modality assists with migraine headaches, chronic pain, chronic fatigue syndrome, post-traumatic stress disorder, trauma of any kind, post-surgical recovery, TMJ, and others.

 Creating a deep meditative state, centering the clients toward a more direct and intimate sense of their own wellbeing,  Gently supporting a natural shift to self-acceptance, a sense of peace and interconnectedness to life.             

CranioSacral Therapy

Therapeutic massage uses a variety of techniques to manipulate the muscles, soft tissue, and joints of the body. These techniques are designed to reduce pain, improve circulation, and promote relaxation. The massage therapist may use their hands, elbows, forearms, and even feet to apply pressure to the affected areas. Therapeutic massage is used to treat physical and emotional. It is a holistic approach to health care that focuses on the body as a whole, rather than just treating the symptoms of a particular problem. It can treat various conditions, such as chronic pain, headaches, stress, anxiety, depression, and more. 

Therapeutic  Massage

Using light, manual pressure, your therapist will massage and stretch the fascia, sometimes holding that point for a few minutes. Your therapist may repeat this process a few times on each trigger point they find, until they feel a full release.
hands-on assessment of your muscles and movement. Healthy fascia should feel malleable and elastic, whereas areas that are holding trauma and tension will feel stiff and tight. 


Myofascial Massage

Relax into ease with light to medium pressure that aims to increase temperature and blood flow, manipulate soft tissues and stimulate positive chemicals releasing in the body. Effleurage is a common massage technique to warm up the muscles and encourage venous and lymphatic return allowing them to relax.  Using hot stones and aromatherapy to open and relax.

Personalized modifications that suit your body.
Learn how to connect with breathe and body movements properly during your yoga practice.
Learn about all the tools of Yoga including asana (postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), mantra (chanting) and dharana & dhyana (concentration & meditation).
Introduce your family and/or friends to Yoga in a private setting.

This  60 minute session will take place at Awakening Nook.
