Balayage teasing technique - the hair creates a seamless blend without any hint of a blunt line.  The idea is to pull some hair out and away from the color so when everything comes backs together, there is a natural blend of highlights and the base color. 

Balayage freehand painting technique- gives a really blended, natural look with no harsh or obvious regrowth lines. It could start closer to the root looking more like painted highlights or a little more further down known more like a ‘balayage’. 
The technique uses patches of light and shade to create multiple dimensions to the colour.
