Amira provides a unique client led treatment, it is amazing.  After 24 hours and a 3 hour drive and I am even more convinced that Amira’s treatment is completely unique. 
I have been having massages for over 50 years in various countries. This was without question the best I have ever had.
I had quite a disturbed night but today i got out of the car after the drive and felt as though I’d just walked across the road - phenomenal it feels as though Amira gave me a 19 year old body to go with my 19 year old mind even though I am the wrong side of 70.

Amira is a magician. They intutited exactly what I needed and I felt safe and completely melted and transformed by the time I left, as well as my jaw is now opening and closing without a click for the first time in my life. 

Amira. Makes. Glasgow! I have functional scoliosis and normally I’m pretty concerned about this when getting a massage of any kind. This doesn’t even occur to me with Amira. 

The myofascial release had perfect pressure, nothing is uncomfortable even when I expect it to be and breath is part of it all. Next day its restored movement to my joints, no pain. It also completely eradicated a migraine. Never happened before!
Because consent is so emphasised throughout and you are asked to communicate during the treatment the results go much deeper and become incredibly therapeutic somatically. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Myofascial Release (MFR) is a manual therapy technique that focuses on releasing tension in the fascia, which is the connective tissue surrounding muscles and organs. It involves applying deep, sustained pressure to identify and release restrictions in the fascial tissue. MFR aims to improve flexibility, reduce pain, and restore movement by addressing these fascial restrictions. The areas of treatment are chosen by and are client led.

Each body that sees me is wonderfully unique. I offer a very detailed and personalised musculoskeletal and structural alignment assessment. The discussion will also be based on the following topics:

 

– talk through any chronic or acute injuries

– chat about your biomechanical history

– look at your habitual and behavioural tendencies.

– speak about any underlying psychosomatic trauma.

– notice any compensational patterns within the body through a musculoskeletal and structural alignment assessment.

An initial consultation is advised prior to any bodywork. If you require a GP approval this must be brought with you and presented during the consultation. Consultation can also be done virtually during out of clinic hours. You will only need to do this once.

Here, in these welcoming hands, I use a variety of techniques such as myofascial release, acupressure, integrative body psychotherapy and somatic experiencing to openly explore with gentle curiosity what the body is trying to communicate.

Clients help guide the session by undergoing a brief consultation prior to the treatment to get exactly what they need.

Scar tissue remediation is at the cutting edge of the skills needed to effectively and holistically work with scars from injuries, birth injuries, any type of stitching including gynaecological surgeries such as colposcopies and hysterectomies, endometriosis, gender reassignment surgeries, C-sections and pelvic pain of all kinds. During this session we will be tapping into the story of the desired scar tissue that requires unwinding, using manual techniques such as massage, muscle testing, myofascial release and castor oil packing. You will leave the session with your own castor oil pack to take home and continue using. A shorter follow up session a week later will ask for consistant use of the pack/ techniques to reveal undeniable results.

Are you a habitual teeth grinder? Get frequent migraines and/ or jaw ache? Do you tend to chew more frequently on one side? This treatment uses Myofascial Release to unlock tension in the jaw, externally and internally, using latex-free gloves. A gentle head massage follows the treatment to further release tension from the neck, face and scalp regions. A top-up session a week later will help to continue the unwinding of habitual patterns.
