The word viscera refers to the internal organs of the human body that are located within the rib cage and the abdominal and pelvic cavity. Visceral osteopathy is a branch of osteopathy that aims to address these organs' mobility within their natural body position to allow a better function of the whole system.

The foundational technique I use is massage to release tension in hypertonic (tight) muscles; It  may also employ Myofascial Release (softening connective tissue), Craniosacral work (manipulation of the cerebrospinal fluid) or Trigger Point Therapy (deactivating hyperirritable points in muscles).I may also employ stretching and the use of soft cupping techniques.
