Face Card is a private salon in Cardiff offering a range of nail, lash, and brow treatments. Enjoy a personalized, one-on-one experience in a comfortable, home-based setting. While cash is preferred, card or bank transfers are also accepted; please have the correct amount of cash, as change may not be available. Arriving on time is essential, as the salon operates on a 1:1 client basis with limited seating. Please note there are steps outside and a flight of stairs. Builder Gel (BIAB)

Gel extensions (aka Gel-X / Swift Tips) are full cover tips that are adhered to your natural nail using builder gel. They provide a similar look to acrylics but are much kinder to the nail, like BIAB, but more hard wearing. 

Various lengths and shapes are available. Price includes an all-over gel colour (nail art, french, chrome etc will incur an additional charge). 

Gel extensions typically last 3-4 weeks before removal or infill is required.  Gel extensions are infilled using builder gel

Toe nails filed and shaped, removal of dry skin, cuticle work, nail prep and gel polish application. Dry pedicures are performed as standard, as they are more sanitary, effective, longer-lasting and suitable for at risk groups (such as diabetics) than a wet pedicure. 

You can however add a Foot Soak and Scrub as an Add-On service should you wish. This will be performed at the end of the service.

This includes all steps of the manicure including cuticle work, nails filed and shaped, cuticle oil and hand cream, with the addition of a hand soak and scrub but DOES NOT include gel polish. This is an idea service for someone who needs their natural nails tidied up / to reduce the appearance of ridges etc. 

Manicure (no gel colour)

Hard gel is more durable and hard-wearing than builder gel, so is perfect for heavy handed clients. 

Hard gel is file off only. Infills or removal will be required after approx 4 weeks. Infills are charged the same as a new set

Hard Gel

Finger nails filed and shaped, cuticle work, nail prep and gel polish application, finished with hand cream and cuticle oil. This is an all-over block colour, if you require french tips or nail art please book accordingly. Likewise, if you require removal of old product, please add this as an add-on service.

*Please note that some clients find that a gel manicure does not last as long as other nail enhancements that include an all over gel colour such as builder gel / hard gel / gel extensions, and after assessing your nails I may suggest an alternative treatment to ensure that you get the best possible retention!

Repair broken / damaged nail. £3-5 per nail (depending on nail art, enhancement type etc). Free if original treatment was carried out less than 3 days ago. 

Nail repair 

Toenails are reconstructed using hard gel to provide a more uniform, even and aesthetically pleasing finish. Toenails which are shorter than others, broken or damaged can be built up using hard gel,  before gel polish application.  

Please note that this is not suitable for those with a current fungal infection (or alike), and that some nail is required for the nail to be built up (I.e a totally non-existent toenail cannot be reconstructed). 

This package includes cuticle work, nail prep, reconstruction of all toenails (different methods used depending on the toenails and the desired look) and an all over gel colour.

This is plain gel in a choice of a few neutral colours, if you require french tips, gel colour overlay, or nail art please book accordingly to allow sufficient time. Brow lamination 

Eyebrows are shaped, tinted and have restorative treatment applied. Suitable for eyebrows that were laminated approx 4 weeks ago (by myself only)

Brow lamination maintenance 

Eyebrow tint / laminating product is applied to the skin (usually forearm) ahead of a brow lamination or tint treatment to ensure that you don't have any reactions or sensitivities to the products used. Patch test required at least 48 hours before treatment.

Choose either a 10 minute session of a colour or your choice, or a 15 minute session that incorporates all 4 colours. 

This can be be done either before or after any other treatment, or simultaneously during nail and feet treatments.

This is an add-on service, which can be added to either Gel Pedicure, Biab on toes, or Gel on toes service only.
