Hi, I’m Kara! I’m a qualified Nail Technician and Artist with over 3 years of experience. I work out of my cute little studio upstairs at Blondies of Melbourne in Fitzroy North. I work with builder and hard gel products and I specialise in cute and custom hand-painted nail art. Come to me with your wildest nail ideas and we will make them happen! Loved Kara's healthy nails first approach and her super gentle minimal acetone removal of gel polish. She is meticulous and has real attention to detail even for the boring clients like me who only want a gel manicure (no art!). 

Amazing, always love coming here and getting a fresh set of nails! 

Kara always does such an amazing job! It’s so cool to be able to come to this lil space and get my nails done when I used to get them done in her house! I never worry about the quality of the service and originality of design when I get my nails done with Kara and I’ll keep coming back! Book in while you still can!!! 

This service is for clients whose last Builder Gel set is still in good condition with minimal lifting or damage. In this service I file down the existing product and reapply builder gel incorporating the new nail growth into the structure I create. This service includes a dry manicure and is finished with a gel polish of your choice and nourishing cuticle oil.
A removal booking is not required with this service as the filing time and cost are already factored in.

Builder Gel Rebalance/Refill

This service includes a dry manicure with builder gel applied to the natural nail to create structure and strength. Builder gel can be used for short extensions to even out nail lengths.* The service is finished with a gel polish colour of your choice and nourishing cuticle oil.

Builder Gel Manicure

This service is for the removal of gel polish on natural nails only. In this service I gently file off the top layer of gel polish before soaking your nails in an acetone-based soak-off mix and gently pushing off the product with a cuticle pusher.

Removal only - select this option if you only want your gel polish removed - this service is finished with an express manicure and nourishing cuticle oil

Add-on to another service - select this option alongside any gel polish, builder gel or hard gel service to have your gel polish removed before application

If you have existing product on your nails please book a removal alongside this service.
This service includes a dry manicure with cuticle clean-up and is finished with a gel polish colour of your choice and nourishing cuticle oil.

Please note: Hard Gel is unable to be soaked off of nails. If you no longer want your Hard Gel enhancements, the product is filed down to a very thin layer and grown out. You may like to book a Gel Polish Manicure alongside this service if you do not like the look of a thin layer of clear gel on your nail.

Removal only - select this option if you only want your Hard Gel or Builder Gel nail enhancements removed - this service is finished with an express manicure and nourishing cuticle oil

Hard Gel Overlay

This service begins with a dry manicure. I then sculpt nail extensions onto your natural nails using paper moulds called forms. This gives me the ability to sculpt the right shape and curve to grow with your natural nail. With hard gel we can make your extensions as long as you would like and in any nail shape you would like. This service is finished with a gel polish colour of your choice and nourishing cuticle oil.

This service is perfect if your hands and nails need a little TLC but you don’t want any nail enhancements. 

In this service you will receive:

- hand scrub using delicious peacci sugar scrub
- hand massage using delicious peacci hand cream and my hand-blended cuticle oil

This service begins with a manicure of your natural nails including shaping, cuticle work and a gentle buff.
Next, an exfoliating hand massage using Peacci’s peach-scented mani pedi scrub. It contains coconut shell and sugar for natural exfoliation and is enriched with hydrating avocado, peach and castor oils as well as vitamins A, B, D, E, H, K and PP.
The service is finished with my hand-blended cuticle oil and Peacci’s hydrating mani pedi cream, another peach scented delight! Its velvety, fast-absorbing formula contains vitamin E which helps to protect against free radicals and toxins while pro-vitamin B works to soothe and reduce redness.

Deluxe Manicure, Exfoliating Hand Scrub and Massage

It is perfect for nails that have been overfiled, damaged by picking or peeling off nail enhancements, dry and flaky nails, brittle nails, soft or thin nails. 
When applied in multiple treatments it repairs the natural nail, fixing and preventing delamination as well as smoothing and improving the look of the natural nail.
If you have severely damaged nails or trouble with retention of nail enhancements this treatment is strongly recommended.
