Lymphedema is swelling due to build-up of lymph fluid in the body. Lymph nodes act like a drain in your sink. If the drain is clogged, the fluid cannot drain. It usually happens in the arms or legs, but can occur in other parts of the body.

Lymphedema can occur at any stage. It is not always cancer related. Lymphedema can occur many years after trauma , after car crash, after motor cycle crash or after cycle crash.

Lymph taping a component what I have learnt will help in brusin and swelling through trauma.

When assessed you will be informed what stage your lymphedema is at.

lymphadema depending on which stage you are assessed at in most cases is not reversible. If you are assessed to be at stage 0 then this can be reversed.

If you are assessed at stage 1 then there will be ongoing management of condition. This will be discussed through treatment.
