Never been disappointed with the service I receive at Headways, Carlisle. On this occasion I had my hair coloured by Gillian (my usual hairdresser) and as usual received great service and had great banter. The store is easily accessible via bus (62 79) or own transport. If short stay, can park immediately outside or alternatively there is Stanwix Bank Car Park within walking distance.

Mia is so professional takes her time, had colour and extension. I have been to lots of different hairdressers but all I can say is Mia had done the most perfect hair I've ever had. Highly recommend 👌

I am so happy with my hair. I am curly and Mia took her time to make sure that she was giving me a cut which really worked with my hair type. She was warm and friendly and more than happy to teach me how to recreate my style at home. She was knowledgeable about her products and made sure I was truly happy before I left. The salon was clean and warm and welcoming. I will absolutely return.

Gillian does a good job considering she's getting on a bit. She used to cut my grandads hair in the 60s and he was always pleased with the end result. Gillian didn't have the usual wiff of alcohol on her breadth this week, which was a pleasant surprise.

Top hairstylist. I've put Gillians name forward for hairdresser of the year. She last won in this prestigious award back in the 80s when she specialised in perms and mullets and the occasional tash. Now the fashion is back, she's in her element. Keep up the good work Gill 👍

I found Hair by Mia by accident but came to see her as she offered Curly Cuts, which I haven’t found anywhere local. She was lovely, friendly, knowledgeable and talked me through the process as it was happening and I came away with amazingly healthy curls and the style I wanted!
