This was a really great experience! I want for lash tint, brow stain which was new to me, and bikini wax. She did a great job on my brows and explained the stain, and ensured we aligned on the colour. She made me super comfortable - the spa treatment room is very tidy and well-appointed. I’ve had bikini / Brazilian waxes done in Canada, Saudi Arabia and now here in Cairns and this was the most efficient and painless visit in nearly 25 years of them. I’m not sure what exactly the product was, but it went on smoothly without tugging and NOT burning hot, and was super effective. Recommend!!

The ladies at the salon are very friendly and extremely competent. I live interstate, and always have my brows done at Avoca Smithfield when visiting Cairns.

This is the first to take the time to properly discuss what I’m looking for, talk about and design the shaping, work out the best colouring and tone of the tint for me with my input, check in with and show me what she’s doing throughout the tinting and making adjustments where asked. This is a really fantastic salon - relaxing, pampering, expert, friendly and kind. The best way I can describe it is ethical luxe. If you are, like me, new to town and are not sure where to go for that little treat or indulgence and want to be treated like a princess don’t look any further. Faux fur blankets, warm bed to hop into after the ‘nasty’ treatment for the remainder, delicious elixirs and dainty little edible treats presented in a glass cloche post-treatment were some of the highlights. Donna is a font of information about the best cafes in Edge Hill and the must-do’s in Cairns.

I highly recommend Avoca to everyone. I had a last minute brow appointment with Sarah - my first since returning to Cairns after moving 3 years ago. I’ve definitely missed coming here as no where else compares. The whole online booking process was smooth and efficient. Sarah provided the most relaxing, friendly, calming and precise service for me. I love my new brows! The overall feel and style of the place is beautiful, welcoming, and relaxing 😌
