Wat is sugaring?

Sugaring is een natuurlijke ontharingsmethode die zijn oorsprong vindt in het Midden-Oosten. Het gebruikt een pasta gemaakt van suiker, water en citroensap om haar van de wortel te verwijderen, waardoor je huid zijdezacht wordt.

Hoe werkt ontharen met suiker?

Net als bij waxen wordt de suikerhoudende pasta op je huid aangebracht en kleeft deze aan het haar. Wanneer de pasta wordt verwijderd, trekt deze het haar uit de wortel, waardoor een gladde afwerking ontstaat die langer meegaat dan scheren.

Is sugaring beter dan waxen?

Hoewel beide effectieve methoden voor ontharing zijn, vinden veel mensen het zachter om suiker op hun huid te krijgen dan waxen. Haar wordt verwijderd in de richting van de groei, waardoor het risico op ingegroeide haren wordt verminderd. Bovendien gebruikt het volledig natuurlijke ingrediënten, die beter voor je huid kunnen zijn.

Hoe lang moet haar zijn om te suikeren?

Voor het beste resultaat moet je haar minstens een halve centimeter lang zijn – ongeveer de lengte van een rijstkorrel.
