Had an amazing experience at Orlando Lox Bar with Shaka Khan! She did a flawless retwist, and the hair wash and steam treatment were heavenly. My scalp felt refreshed, and my locs were soft and healthy. Shaka also shared great tips on how to care for my hair, which I truly appreciated. Let me start out by saying I LOVE my hair! I got the Groupon for a Keratin treatment by Kathy. (watch 4 it ladies!) when I arrived it was kind of confusing finding the salon but no worries. Then Kathy gave me a hair consultation and she had previously stated on the phone when I was booking my appointment that it was going to be an extra $25. (That’s kind of annoying, I feel everything should be included in your Groupon package and should have these extra fees but I digress) Kathy started my hair around 12:30 and finished up around 4. I felt the place could have cleaner. But overall happy.

My experience at Orlando Lox Bar was wonderful. I like the layout of the establishment; it gives a warm and cozy welcome. Taylor Monet was pleasant and friendly very business minded; she took the time to explain what needed to be done with my locs in order to achieve the results I wanted. Love Hunter!! They are super attentive to client needs and gave me exactly what I was looking for. They have super affordable prices which can be so helpful in this economy :,) I would recommend them to any queer people in Orlando or anyone looking for alternative hair needs. Side bar, I love the collaborative environment the salon has. Another stylist was quick to help Hunter if they had any questions about technique and it was very refreshing to see. Angel is the best in Orlando. I had a hard time finding someone after moving to from LA. It took 2 years and a lot of orange hair but I found the right person finally. He's also super chill and easy to work with! My cut and color has never been better.

At my first appointment, Carolyn listened and looked at the photos of the color and cut I wanted, brought out swatches, and explained what I should realistically expect for results. I love the results and my hair feels amazing and so much less damaged than before. They use great quality products in the salon and everyone is so friendly & knowledgeable! I finally feel like I've found the salon I've been looking for since moving to Orlando!
