90 mins for a massage at Sanctuary is not enough! Today my lovely therapist was Pat. Don’t be fooled by Pat’s appearance - she is little, but she is strong! My body got an amazing work over today - this lady, just like her colleagues, is so good at finding the ‘hot spots’ and dealing with them. The care and attention, and super customer service, keeps me coming back to Sanctuary. Even when my regular therapist is away, I know I will get an incredible massage - because they are all good. WOW! The Valentines Day special is a ‘must do’! An hour of delicious relaxing body massage followed by a superb facial. I opted for an extra 30 minutes of reflexology too, resulting in two hours of true bliss! If you’re in need of a treat having gone back to work, this is for you. This is SUBLIME!

Every time I see Por (seldom less than weekly), she scans my body, quickly ascertains what I need and sets to work. Each massage is different - every time. No two massages are ever the same, because I am a regular, she knows my body’s niggly bits, and puts me back together again. This weekly visit is an important part of my wellbeing, both physically and mentally. After 90 mins on the table, I am good to go again. Come and experience these hands (and elbows!) for yourself. I think today was the BEST. MASSAGE. EVER. Just when I think it can’t get better, it does. The cool thing about seeing your massage therapist regularly is that they get to know your body, and then notice differences. Por finds things that I don’t know are going on - but I walk out of the Sanctuary feeling a million bucks. Even better, it doesn’t cost that much! All the staff at Sanctuary are lovely, and your comfort is their priority. Sanctuary is warm, it smells amazing and you start relaxing as soon as you walk in the door. Wow, what a wonderful treat today was. My beautiful therapist really knows her stuff. Firm pressure but not painful I felt the knots just melting away and a sense of calm and relaxation overtook my body and mind. I would happily recommend all the therapists at Takapuna branch, they are all amazing.

AMAZING. I am a regular at the Sanctuary, with the traditional Thai massage being a favourite. But no two massages are ever the same… there is no predictability, no boredom. Por quickly assesses what the body needs - today she didn’t even ask me where was sore, but quickly worked it out. Having trained previously as an orthopaedic nurse, I trust her implicitly with a niggly knee injury. Her colleagues are also warm and friendly, and I finish every visit to Sanctuary Birkenhead by floating down the stairs. I am a better person after a massage from Por and her magic hands. Experiencing the heat of the infrared sauna, the refreshment of the shower and then the intense body treatment of a deep tissue massage was such a deeply healing experience. The massage therapist was lovely and the delicious sweet ginger tea helped me get back into the real world at the end. An allround holistic experience that I definitely recommend :)

Pare was excellent. A body scrub followed by a Thai massage - an indulgence - but well worth it.
