This is my go-to hair salon. As a guy with weird curly hair, this is the only salon I went to that I genuinely loved my haircut afterwards which makes me comeback even if I just need a quick trim. The staff is amazing and made me feel genuinely cared for. From the hair shampoo, quick back massage, and the awesome haircut, everything was perfect. Would highly recommend to everyone.

I love my hair, I love the staff, I love my stylist (Lauren), I love the way the products smell, I love the way everything looks inside, I love their organization and the way they handle business. If I wasn't moving next month, this would be my permanent salon, but unfortunately I'm leaving New York. :(

During my stay in New York, I decided to get my hair cut. Online, I found an independent hairdresser in Union Square. On the 12th floor of a historic building, I met Marianna and her assistant Annie in a small salon. The atmosphere was very pleasant, calm, with relaxing lounge music playing. Marianna was very focused and took great care and attention to detail with my haircut, which I love. Even after the first wash, my hair looks fantastic. (I never blow dry my hair). Thank you for this authentic New York experience.

Niya did an amazing job on both my hair and my sister’s! She fixed a haircut I gave myself and added so much volume and life back to my hair. My sister has very long hair, and Niya took her time, handled it with care, and gave her exactly the style she wanted after other salons couldn’t. Loved my time with Liv! I had just taken out my braids and needed a good deep conditioner, silk press, and trim. She took great care with my hair. The silk press came out perfectly straight and smooth, and she was friendly and professional throughout the entire appointment. She even gave me tips for maintaining the style. Can't wait for my next appointment.

Iryna does the best color and cut in the city! She is able to blend in highlights in a way that allows it to grow out more naturally. The salon is new and comfortable and always have a great experience and leave happy with my hair!

I saw Jahlena for the first time for a trim. I really love the cut she gave me and I felt so pretty when I took my flat twist out the following morning. I’ve always embraced my 4C hair but the trim and flat twist set had me feeling so pretty even with the shrinkage.

It was my first time at Hayato. Although it looked a bit dated, the service was exactly what I was looking for. Great shampoo experience and Mina my hairdresser was a super Japanese stylist. She listened to what you wanted and then offered her opinion. Highly recommend for a true New York Japanese hair salon. Thank you!

I was graciously greeted and seated for service. Offered a robe and drink. Although my stylist, Dailey was managing another client she kept us serviced and checked in on me often. She askes about at home hair management, and offers practical solutions or products. I was happy with my trim and already see length and the healthy hair I was looking for. I scheduled my next 2 future services and cant wait to come back. Everyone is is so professional and funny and seem happy doing what they love. H2 is amazing!
