Here’s a refined version of your review: As soon as the elevator doors open onto the sixth floor, TOKA Salon feels like a breath of fresh air. The staff is not only professional but also incredibly warm and welcoming, instantly putting you at ease. I often find myself wishing I’d arrived early enough to enjoy their beautiful balcony—an oasis on warmer days. And with this unexpected November warmth, I really missed a chance to unwind there before my appointment. Having frequented New York City salons for nearly 30 years, I can confidently say TOKA Salon more than earns its place on Madison Ave

I just had the most amazing experience with Dina! She did a full head of highlights, a cut, blow dry, and styled my hair with beautiful curls. This is hands down the best my hair has ever looked and felt. Not only is Dina incredibly talented, but she’s also such a pleasure to spend a few hours with. During my stay in New York, I decided to get my hair cut. Online, I found an independent hairdresser in Union Square. On the 12th floor of a historic building, I met Marianna and her assistant Annie in a small salon. The atmosphere was very pleasant, calm, with relaxing lounge music playing. Marianna was very focused and took great care and attention to detail with my haircut, which I love. Even after the first wash, my hair looks fantastic. (I never blow dry my hair). Thank you for this authentic New York experience.

The shade came out exactly how I wanted, super natural and fresh, and the blowout was smooth and beautiful. She was really easy to talk to and made the whole appointment feel effortless. Definitely coming back!
