I finally booked in after seeing good reviews on IG. So glad I did a I left feeling great! Booked in for the deluxe head spa and a haircut. Massage was nice, especially the hot stones. The head massage was vigorous at times but I loved it! You get to choose a scent for the steam sauna, I choose lemon & orange. Nice clean establishment. The hairdresser, he was amazing! I'm so happy with my haircut! Will definitely return! Thank you Icandy. There is a carpark straight across the road so that is handy as Ponsonby can be busy.

Absolutely amazing massage at Aroma today. We spent 3.5 hours having a Thai remedial massage, hot head massage and reflexology and I have never felt better. I highly, highly reccomend Aroma and the ladies here and will certain be back! A special mention to Kate who fixed tight spots and knots I didn't know would ever come out!

Arrive at 255pm for 3pm Deluxe spa and was greeted with awkward looks and stares from the room. Finally a lady igreeted us at 305pm and told us to have a seat. At 310 lady came and gave us a quite overview of what we would expect then asked us to choose steam scents. At 315 we went up and NGL the head spa n massage for me was great and very relaxing. The girls however were quite chatty n giggly which without would have just been perfect. After the massage we returned downstairs to get hair dried. Definitely need upskilling in how to blow dry otherwise Hair Spa was 💣, will be back 😊

Wow! Today’s massage was NEXT LEVEL! After two weeks away with work, I think I needed some putting back together! Anna was the perfect person for the job - she quickly worked out that despite asking for a ‘relaxing’ massage, it wasn’t really what I needed! Her fingers, elbows and forearms set to work, and 90 minutes later I was a new woman! There is a reason that regular visits to Sanctuary Birkenhead are a key part of my wellbeing toolbox. Staff were really nice and the classic head massage was amazing. 5 stars for the really lovely lady who walked me out to my car with an umbrella so my hair wouldn’t get ruined in the rain :) will definitely come back.

AMAZING! I’m so glad that Sanctuary Birkenhead is part of my wellbeing toolbox. Por is an absolute delight. Today I asked for a relaxation massage, as I had the day off work and wanted to chill. It’s exactly what I got - but not soft hands. Still firm enough to know you were getting benefit from it. Her hands are homing beacons for any areas of tension. This was my second visit this week!

Today’s massage was memorable. Por had a plan to give me a relaxing massage… but when she did her scan at the start, that plan changed! All the secret weapons came out this afternoon, including elbows and knuckles. Not as much fun at the time, but I walked out feeling like a new woman! If your New Year’s resolution was to take better care of yourself, get along to Sanctuary Birkenhead. It’s a hidden treasure, with amazing staff. This is definitely part of my wellbeing plan!

If you are looking for a massage on the North Shore, look no further than Sanctuary Birkenhead. The moment you walk in the door you are greeted by their fabulous staff, with a beautiful smile and a warm cup of ginger tea (or water if you prefer). I have been a client at the Sanctuary for more than two years, but regularly for the last 15 months. Por is amazing - her magic hands quickly determine what needs the more deliberate attention of her elbows and strong fingers. She listens to what you want, and works to provide it in a most hospitable way. I always walk out taller, and happier.

This is my 3rd visit I always book the deluxe head spa. When it comes to something relaxing, refreshing, this hits the spot. My favourite part is the scalp treatment and head massage and everything else is just an awesome extra! The price is amazing for what the service entails. 🙂

Just when I thought a massage couldn’t get any better… Por goes next level! I’ve been a regular at Sanctuary for over a year now; initially monthly, then once a fortnight, and now weekly. I’m going away for work this weekend, so got my massage last night. WOW. A combination of hot stones, elbows, forearms and the reflexology stick had me floating! I don’t tell Por where I think I need work; within five minutes of arriving, she has that sorted and plans her attack. One of the best tools in my well-being toolbox - highly recommend a visit to Sanctuary Birkenhead. Kob kun ka. 🙏

Another amazing massage by Por tonight. I don’t even tell her what I want worked on now - she has done her scan in the first five minutes and figured out where needs her attention. Her magic elbows came out again today, as well as her fabulous strong hands. She also has a wonderful reflexology stick, and knows I love having my feet worked on. If you have a busy, stressful job, or life is throwing a curveball or two - make a regular visit to the Sanctuary Birkenhead part of your wellness program. I have been a client of Por’s at Sanctuary Birkenhead for over a year, with increased frequency of recent months. Yesterday I couldn’t get an appointment with Por because she was fully booked, so I scheduled for after work tonight. Por asked me how my week had been. When I told her it hasn’t been so good, she said “ok, no elbows tonight”. OMG! Por gave me a 90 min massage with NO elbows! So good - it was very relaxing, and exactly what I needed. Next time though, I’ll be sure she brings back her ‘Angel elbows’… there’s nothing like an elbow in the glutes to let you know you’re alive! 🙏

I'm quite familiar with Thai Massage and it's my preferred massage. I opted for Couples Deep Tissue Massage and it's the first for my husband but not for me. I have a tight neck and suffering headaches, so it was great to have this worked on but always wish for longer. Great masseuse but maybe I should've asked her to go stronger on me lol other than that, loved the service I got which was 90 minutes of fab massage xx Husband snored his way through and while I knew we would be in pain for a few days (not me lol) husband enjoyed so thank you. we will come again

My daughters and I had a great massage each. Sophia was able to unknot the tensions in my neck and head . She was gentle but able to apply just the right amount of pressure . Thank you for your professional service
