My experience was totally 💯 fantastic I would recommend Kayla’s hair by design to anyone and everyone I know she is very caring with her clients and professional my hair was damaged fr my recent appointment at heads up hair salon one week ago I booked appointment for highlights and omg what a mess my hair had bleeding lines and was all blotchy with different levels of colour and was a rushed job . Kayla fixed my hair totally and I’m so great full to her I will only go to her in the future.. and would never recommend anyone to heads up in midland . Be aware when picking a hair stylist ..

Visiting Izzy is like visiting family. Not only is she an extremely gifted Hair Artisan, but she has a beautiful heart and truly cares about you as a person. She listens to what you want done, and achieves it with her incredible talent, and the visit is like visiting a family member: She is an encourager, cheerleader of others, and radiates sunshine. Such an extremely special hair salon.

Kayla always goes above and beyond for my neurodivergent family. She takes the time to understand what we are looking for and provides honest feedback. Kayla is a colour expert and can achieve bold and beautiful colour combinations that last. We feel fortunate to have found a talented stylist who provides excellent services. Although we moved from the Midland area, we happily drive an hour each way so we can continue having Kayla as our hair stylist!

Kayla certainly has a knack for hair and that can be few and far between! I’ve been trying to find a hairdresser that can not only cut my hair but to do some color…..I usually go to 2 different hairdressers…..which, don’t get me wrong, cuz I was happy with their hairdressing skills but again two different places…..well I decided to try Kayla as I seen my friends hair that she done and it was really nice! So I did and not really not only can she color it but she cut it like my very first hairdresser I had when I moved up here……soooo bout 20 years I bet if not longer! Even she said nice! Ty K

Very friendly and easy to talk to. We had a conversation during our whole appointment, I’ve never had that with any other hair dresser. She was also able to explain so much to me about hair, the different techniques to cut and why those techniques are used. I’m absolutely in love with my haircut and can’t wait to see her for a dye/cut soon!

Izzy is warm, welcoming, and personable which are bonuses to her incredibly skilled artistry. She always works with a high degree of professionalism and somehow still makes it feel like you're having a cup of coffee with an old friend. Every time I leave, I feel like she understood exactly what my hair needed without me being able to express it myself. She is intuitive and attentive, and she truly is a rare find.

My experience was awesome! Kayla is always friendly and we have great chats! :) And more importantly does an awesome job on my hair! This time the other hairdresser commented on how much she liked my hair and even took some pics to show a client because her client wanted a short hairstyle and she said mine would be perfect! :)
