Quelles conditions la physiothérapie peut-elle traiter ?

La physiothérapie peut aider à améliorer les problèmes osseux, articulaires et des tissus mous (par exemple, maux de dos, blessures sportives). Il peut également aider les problèmes de mouvement causés par un traumatisme cérébral ou nerveux, y compris les accidents vasculaires cérébraux et la sclérose en plaques. Si vous souffrez de fibrose kystique, de problèmes respiratoires, cardiaques et circulatoires, vous pouvez également bénéficier d'une physiothérapie.

De combien de séances de physiothérapie aurai-je besoin ?

Cela dépend vraiment de vos besoins et de votre niveau de progrès. À quoi puis-je m'attendre lors d'une séance de physiothérapie ?

Vous aurez une première consultation avant le début du traitement pour permettre à votre physiothérapeute de comprendre exactement ce qui ne va pas et comment il peut vous aider au mieux. Pendant le traitement, votre physiothérapeute peut utiliser ses mains pour soulager la douleur et améliorer les mouvements de votre corps, vous donner des exercices pour renforcer et améliorer votre mobilité et votre santé, et faire des suggestions sur les changements que vous pouvez apporter à la maison ou au travail pour prévenir d'autres blessures ou améliorer votre posture.

La physiothérapie peut-elle se faire à domicile ?

Cela dépend : une certaine kinésithérapie peut être faite à la maison (votre kinésithérapeute est susceptible de vous donner des exercices à pratiquer à la maison de toute façon) ; mais certains traitements peuvent avoir besoin d'être effectués à la clinique de votre kinésithérapeute.
