I brought my 18 year old son in for a haircut and lesson on how to care for his curls. Kim was wonderful! She made him feel comfortable, asked pertinent questions and explained everything she was doing and why in just enough detail. We left with his hair looking amazing and his confidence to maintain it strong. We will be back! Thank you Kim ❤️

First, let me start by saying I do not trust just anyone with my hair. All my life it’s been a struggle to love my curls & manage them in a way that I was happy with. Today, meeting Kim has changed all that! She was very patient, kind & informative, explaining each step & making sure I understood the game plan for my hair. Kim instructed me on all the special things that I should do to achieve my hair goals so I can embrace and love my curls. Bonus, all these special things will not take up much of my time, if anything it’ll be easier than my normal routine. 💯 recommend! Thank you Kim ❤️

Kim came highly recommended, but she was better than we could have dreamed of. The nicest, most caring stylist I have ever met. She took the time to listen to my daughter and get to know her and it was great! I would highly recommend her and this salon. The products she has are also reasonably priced, which was refreshing. For about 2 years I’ve been going to the Roots Radicals salon in Williamsburg. I’ve always loved it. Yesterday, for logistical reasons, I went to their Danbury location. It was my first time there and the first time Kim cut my short, curly hair. I could not be happier with the results—or the experience. Kim really understood what I was after, she worked slowly and patiently, checked in with me frequently, and even conferred with my stylist in Brooklyn. Plus the salon was a serene place to be. I left with just the cut I wanted. I know I'll be back.

I took my 11 year old daughter for her first curly cut at Roots Radicals North today and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Kim is lovely and really took her time explaining every step along the way so we could learn how to manage her curls at home. The salon itself is clean and bright. My daughter hates having her hair brushed and Kim was so patient and gentle while untangling her curls. The entire experience was well worth the money. I’ve already recommended Kim to all of my curly haired friends. We will definitely be back!
