How often should you get threading done?

It depends on your hair’s regrowth rate: most people get their legs done every 4 weeks, and their eyebrows done every 2-4 weeks.

What can I expect during a threading treatment?

During a threading treatment, your therapist will use twisted strands of thread to pluck single hairs from the root. Once threading is complete, your therapist may apply a cooling gel (like aloe vera) to the treated area to help soothe your skin.

Is threading painful?

Yes. It’s fast and, unlike waxing, it doesn’t tug on your skin; however threading does pluck hair out from the root, so it will hurt. Rest assured, though: the pain is quick and bearable.

Can threading be done on any part of your body?

No. Threading only works on flat areas, which rules bikini lines and knees out.

How long does threading last?

Between 2 to 4 weeks, depending on your natural hair growth rate.

Is threading better than waxing?

It’s not for us to say, but many therapists prefer it because it allows them to be precise without damaging the skin. It also means there’s no danger of double-dipping wax between clients, and it can remove shorter hairs that wax can’t fully grip on to, meaning your eyebrows will stay beautifully shaped for longer.

How is threading different from other hair removal methods?

Unlike other hair removal methods, threading uses a single twisted strand of cotton to remove unwanted hair. Both threading and tweezing are chemical-free and work by targeting single hairs, but waxing and epilating can remove multiple hairs in one go. Threading, waxing, tweezing, and epilating all remove hair from the root, but it will regrow in 2-4 weeks. Laser hair removal is the only permanent hair removal method.
