You may want to exfoliate your skin 2 days before your appointment; it’s also advised that you avoid retinoids on the day of your waxing treatment.

Male hair tends to be coarser and more dense, which can make the first few waxes more uncomfortable. With regular waxing, the hair becomes finer and the process less uncomfortable over time. Hard wax is often used for more sensitive areas.

Once you’ve been waxed, you should avoid the heat: that means no hot baths or showers, no saunas or steam treatments, no hot tubs, sunbathing, or sun beds, and no heavy exercise. You should also avoid swimming in chlorinated water, scratching the treated area, and touching it with unwashed hands.

Men's waxing removes unwanted body hair using hot or strip wax. Common areas include the back, chest, shoulders, arms, legs, eyebrows, and nostrils. Male waxing uses the same techniques as female waxing but is adapted for typically thicker, coarser male hair.
