Make sure your face is clean and exfoliated before your make-up is applied. Use a primer before applying make-up, and set your make-up with a setting spray or powder. Touch-ups throughout the day can also help maintain your make-up. Avoid touching your face to keep your make-up looking fresh. Wear loose-fitting clothing that won't smudge your make-up when you change.

The length of a make-up session depends on the type of make-up and the complexity of the look. Generally, a make-up session can take anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours. During the session, your make-up artist will consult with you to determine the look you want, prepare your skin, and apply make-up products to create your look.

Arrive with a clean, moisturized face, and bring inspiration photos so your make-up artist can give you the right look. If you have sensitive skin, bring your own make-up products to avoid any potential allergic reactions. And if you plan on changing outfits later in the day, wear loose-fitting clothing so you don't smudge your face when you get changed.
