I’ve been going to Kat for years! She is an excellent stylist. Recently she styled my long locs for my wedding and it was perfect. I told her how I wanted to feel and showed her my dress and she worked her magic. What I appreciate about Kat the most, aside from her hair expertise, is her vision. Kat has style. She knows what looks good. I can trust her ideas and I don’t have to always have it all figured out. I love that about her. Lastly, she also is an excellent colorist. In the early days of my locs, she would do all my wild colors (blondes, red, dark blue etc.).

I had the most amazing experience with Candyce at Jamal Amal Hair Salon! In which from the moment I walked in, she made me feel so welcomed and at ease. She truly understands hair and took the time to listen to what I wanted, offering expert advice along the way. The end result was beyond my expectations. In all honesty my hair has never looked or felt better! Whiles on the other hand her attention to detail, skill, and warm coupled with her personality made the entire appointment such a joy. I recently visited Jamal Amal Salon to get my hair braided, and I had such a great experience! The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and polite, making me feel welcomed from the moment I walked in. They took their time to ensure my hair was styled perfectly, and the attention to detail was amazing.The atmosphere was warm and inviting, which made the entire process so relaxing. I left the salon feeling confident, refreshed, and absolutely loving my braids! It’s always such a joy to find a place where the service is top-notch and the people genuinely care about making you feel your best.

BLK had a Terrific experience. I was referred to my prior hair stylists. They both independently referred me to the same person. Jamal, and his assistant, did a great job with my hair. I can tell a person's professionalism by my experience in his environment and surrounding staff as well. Jamal was great and so was his assistant - I literally, did not lose any hair strands. None. Amazing. The hair wash was so relaxing....they worked my scalp well. The environment was wonderful. I am growing my nails back just so that I can be pampered more while getting my hair done by Jamal and his team.

I always feel welcome and at ease when I visit Ola Rose. She's a true gem - knowledgeable, caring, and passionate about her work. Ola expertly installed loc extensions to add volume to my existing flat locs. Her attention to detail was impressive, and she patiently worked with me to achieve the perfect look. I recently had my locs retied with Ola and it was a great experience from start to finish. Making an appointment was easy and Ola was very responsive. I especially appreciated the reminder texts - something I have never received from any hairdresser I’ve previously had. Her professionalism continued into the actual loc-retie experience. She w communicated with me throughout about my hair and her process/thinking when she came across a loc that needed attention. She was fast, and I left with a cute hairstyle that I loved. Customer service was excellent. Ola pays attention to every small detail. She took her time to clearly describe her process to me. She showed me the condition of my hair through the scalp analysis, provided recommendations. Ola was very gentle when doing my hair.(I'm tenderheaded) I would recommend her. My hair had so much damage, her treatment gave me some of my old hair back.
