This is a really fantastic salon - relaxing, pampering, expert, friendly and kind. The best way I can describe it is ethical luxe. If you are, like me, new to town and are not sure where to go for that little treat or indulgence and want to be treated like a princess don’t look any further. Faux fur blankets, warm bed to hop into after the ‘nasty’ treatment for the remainder, delicious elixirs and dainty little edible treats presented in a glass cloche post-treatment were some of the highlights. Donna is a font of information about the best cafes in Edge Hill and the must-do’s in Cairns.

Such a beautiful and relaxing experience! The best sensory indulgence, with the most peaceful sounds, shoulder heat rest, warm towels on the legs and the perfect pressured warm oiled leg and foot massage. To add to this ,my feet were brought back from a dry and dull state, with lots of care and attention and the perfect French tipped painting. Vanni is such a lovely human and a true perfectionist ! Very relaxing. Not like the usual “busy” salons I have experienced in the past in Cairns. I felt like I was treated with dignity & respect. Every ingredient was explained to me. Sally was very thoughtful, asked me what tea I would like to drink during the foot spa session, & engaged in providing quality time with my feet, toes and lower limb massage. I will be returning to Serene Retreat when I am in Cairns again next. Serene Retreat is now my new chosen place of serenity for receiving an ultimate pedicure and massage.

As per usual Sandy is exceptionally good! I wouldn’t go anywhere else in Cairns
