It’s also recommended that you hydrate your skin by moisturising it regularly (although avoid using oils on the day of your waxing), and avoid booking your appointment during or 3-5 days before your period when your skin is likely to be extra sensitive.

Your pubic hair needs to be long enough for the wax to be effective, so make sure it’s at least one quarter of an inch (0.6cm) long before you attend your appointment.
