I have recently discovered The Beauty Parlour and now I am hooked. Everyone is so friendly and it’s like stepping into a little oasis on Farsley high street. My brows have never looked so good and it’s totally changed my face, I then got brave and had eyelashes ( couldn’t even feel I was wearing them) booked to have both re done and can’t wait. If like me , taking time out is not your normal, make it your normal and go here, I loved my visit today and discovered the warming treatment bed 🥰 Highly recommended 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The salon is lovely and welcoming and I instantly felt at ease. I enjoyed a microdermabrasion facial which has left my skin glowing and I am ultra relaxed. I also had my eyebrows waxed. Alex achieved the perfect shape with no pain. I have already booked my next appointment.

Henna brows are created by applying henna-based pigment to the eyebrows. Unlike traditional brow tint, henna dye is plant based and should stain eyebrow hair effectively for up to 6 weeks (regular brow tint lasts between 4-6 weeks). The henna used for henna brows is different to that used for body tattoos.
The type of henna used for henna brows is generally considered safe, but if you have eczema or psoriasis, or if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, you’re advised to steer clear of henna. You should also check if you’re allergic to the henna dye components by carrying out a patch test at least 24 hours before your henna brow appointment. You should also know that natural henna is brown or olive in colour; if you’re offered black henna avoid it. Black henna is chemically made and contains p-Phenylenediamine (PPD) which, according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), can cause serious allergic reactions.
Your treatment is likely to take 20-45 mins; the results should last for up to 6 weeks.
Henna is generally considered safe, however you should always perform a patch test at least 24 hours before your appointment, to check if you are allergic to it. More research needs to be done into potential side effects, but it’s recommended that if you’re breastfeeding or pregnant, or if you have eczema or psoriasis, you should avoid using henna. If in doubt, ask your doctor.
Exfoliate, avoid exposure to the sun before your appointment, and arrive with clean skin (that means no make-up and no oils or moisturiser). Once your henna brows are complete, you should protect them from the sun (which could cause the henna to fade) and avoid touching or exfoliating your brows excessively.
