This was my first visit to P&J Palmer and I'm delighted with my haircut. Paul took the time to discuss what I wanted and then delivered it perfectly. With a friendly, caring 1:1 service that I haven't found at other hairdressers, the whole experience was excellent. This was a first consultation. Paul was inviting, enthusiastic and gave me some really helpful and frank advice about colouring, which was just what I needed. I think (naively) I had expected to be able to browse through haircut brochures to help me choose a style, as I find pictures easier than trying to describe in words what I'm looking for. Paul was very generous with his time, getting to know me, and was keen to ensure when I have my hair cut I have a good experience, get the outcome I want and keep within my budget.

I've been coming to Paul for a while now, but yesterday was my daughter's first real haircut. She was nervous and quite shy (very unlike her!) but Paul made her feel at ease and was so patient. He made her feel so happy and excited and she hasn't stopped talking about our visit since. Her hair is her crowning glory so admittedly I was nervous to get it cut too. He listens to what you want and doesn't deviate. Highly recommended for everyone of all ages!!

After my favourite hairdresser retired I tried a lot of different ones and was never entirely happy - 3 years ago I popped into P&j Palmers, Paul was amazing! I would now not trust anyone else with my hair at all - always friendly, listens to what you want, but more than that, he really knows his stuff, I'd say he was a natural! Plus he absolutely loves his job, and it shows. It's always a pleasure to have him cut my hair and I always get complimented - so many people ask me where I get my hair done - brilliant!

Fantastic hairdresser who offers a friendly and professional consultative service. It was very refreshing to have a consultation before my first hair appointment and I truly felt that Paul really listened to me telling him about my hair & its needs, my routine and expectations. I was then able to easily book my appointment at a suitable time. Paul gave me a fantastic hair cut that is very manageable and looks great.
