I came to Suzu after spending a month hiking in rural Alaska and my hair was headed in a bad direction. Suzu immediately understood what I needed, where we needed to remove length, and rescued me. Yuki is an expert in his craft. I’ve never had a haircut and shave that left me so incredibly relaxed. His meticulous attention to detail is what keeps me coming back. Unfortunately I am not a native of Hawaii, but I will be sure to come back to this salon on my next trip. Best haircut and straight shave in Honolulu by far.

i went again to get my hair colored, yuji was really good. i wasnt able to get the color i had initially wanted due to existing dye i had before. but he worked with what he had and i love my hair. he was very friendly and understanding when i showed up a little late due to my class going overtime. will be going again thank you!

I have seen Ryota “Pacu” Tempaku for a few times. The first time I went for a root touch up. He suggested that the touch up not be as dark as my last stylist and a different shade around my face. After my color correction by him I had a few people commenting to me that my color looks great. I have since gone back and today we did a root color and a deep conditioning treatment to my hair because my hair is rather dry due to the highlights that I have. I must say that Paku is truly amazing and he should be charging twice the amount for his services. He is truly talented

I fly to Hawai'i every two months and schedule my haircut, color, and head care when I am there. The stylists are all amazing which is probably the reason they have been booked a few weeks out. I realized that I have to schedule my appointments well in advance. This time Yuki was available to see me and did an amazing job! Personable and his quality of work is great! I needed roots colored and my haircut for an upcoming trip this week. I made a same day appointment online and it couldn’t have been easier! Jonie was my stylist and she is wonderful! Having self colored for a long time, I had multiple colors running through my roots (along with the gray)! Jonie blended color that when put on my roots, brought everything together and it looks great! I have long curly hair and Jonie definitely brought my curls back to life without sacrificing the length. I am so happy to have found Jonie and Salon Ava! I highly recommend both! Thank you Jonie!

Great first experience with Ava who listened & delivered a perfect cut & highlights. I wanted to blend my white/gray hair & the outcome was on point. I was impressed with her efficiency - she is very fast but stays focused on her precision. She's a professional who respects your time without sacrificing quality.
