What is a Brazillian Wax?

A Brazilian wax is a hair removal method that uses hard or strip wax to remove hair from the bikini area and backside. You’ll be left with a small ‘landing strip’ of hair on top of the pubic bone which will be rectangular, oval or triangular in shape.

How long does a Brazillian Wax last?

Up to four weeks depending on your rate of hair regrowth.

When should I get a Brazillian Wax?

Wax can’t pick up hair if it’s too short, so wait until hair in your bikini area is at least one quarter of an inch (0.6cm) in length before booking your appointment. Due to skin sensitivity, you should also avoid scheduling a Brazilian wax within three days of your period.

How often should I get a Brazillian Wax?

To allow for the right amount of hair regrowth between waxes, you should book a Brazilian wax once every 3 to 4 weeks. Waiting for proper regrowth is important as it ensures all hair is removed and no stragglers are left behind.

How do I prepare for a Brazillian Wax?

Make sure your hair is at least one quarter of an inch long before your appointment, otherwise the waxing won’t be effective. It’s advisable not to use moisturising oils before your treatment, and recommended that you don’t do anything that could irritate your skin in the 3 days leading up to your appointment, like swimming in chlorine-treated water, which can dry out the skin.
