Maxi Hair Salon is, hands down, the best place for grooming in the East Bay. Ellie and all the stylists are absolutely great at tuning into YOU. I’ve been going there for years and everyone who comes out of there looks a lot better then when they came in.

Yesterday was my first time going to Maxi Salon AND my first time getting a fade! I was a bit nervous going in, but the workers at the salon are very welcoming. Grace cut my hair and did an amazing job! She took her time and even took pictures of my hair for me to get a better look! Will go back 100%

I came in for a trim, but ended up leaving the appointment with bangs + feeling an extra dose of confidence about my look coming out of the appointment! I thought the hairdresser took a lot of care and attention on my hair. At one point, I asked her what type of bangs I should get. I have a receding hairline & thin hair. She examined my hair, and offered her input, and suggested side bangs. I trusted her judgment and asked her if we could do bangs, and I'm simply amazed. I felt super confident coming out of the hair salon, because of my new haircut. Coming back again!

This salon is top notch! Eli and her partner are excellent well seasoned beauty experts. Their prices are reasonable- their salon is beautiful, clean well appointed. I had a great experience there. I spent 4.5 hrs in the salon getting a cut, color, and partial highlights by Ary, and it was 100% worth the time! Ary was super sweet, had wonderful attention to detail, and overall did an amazing job. The salon was also very clean and customers were properly spaced out. Would highly recommend Maxi Salon!

Let me just start off with the fact that I haven't had my hair done in 2 years and I wanted to have something new/exciting, so I decided to balayage my hair. Hannah was very flexible to squeeze me in her busy schedule and did a great job with my hair. I got many compliments on my hair from work and I love it after the tone is fadded a little bit (it was very bright when I walk out of the salon). I will definitely come back!

I always get a great haircut when I go to Maxi Hair Salon . The staff feel like family and are friendly, courteous and very professional. I have going there for years.

Ary gave me the best haircut I’ve ever had!! I went from hair that was halfway down my back to above my shoulder. She was meticulous and thorough. I highly recommend her and the whole salon!!

I had the most wonderful experience at Maxi Hair Salon. I have previously had two perfect haircuts with Grace and I loved them. This time I wanted to do something a little different and Ary cut the most beautiful layers for me. All three haircuts have been excellent and Ary was super attentive and made sure to cut my hair in the way that would suit its natural texture best. Everyone is so kind and lovely and overall it is a great experience and I would recommend it for everyone in the Berkeley area. And, they have a student discount that makes it affordable. Love Maxi!
