I had a great experience going to Karen. She was fun and helpful in talking through ideas on what to do with my hair, she is very skilled in hairdressing. Her space is lovely and it feels like a real treat to go to her. Ideal if you would like a more personal and intimate experience vs going to a salon.

Katy has been colouring and cutting my hair for many years — balayage, roots, face frames, the lot. I’ve loved having my hair done from the comfort of my own home, in her lovely one-to-one space, and now in this gorgeous salon too. I felt a warm welcome as soon as I stepped through the door; everyone was super friendly. I am a new Customer for Karen and asked for a remodel of my short hair. She took great interest in the pictures I had brought her for an idea of what style I would like her to achieve and set about an initial trim which I am delighted with. I look forward to seeing her again and have every confidence in her ability and she is a friendly, welcoming lady. I was a little concerned when I saw the flight of steps up to the Salon but did manage them and hope to keep going even though I am approaching 80 !

Absolutely brilliant, I highly recommend Karen Silk Hairdressing! Karen carefully listened to my (many) thoughts, whims, ideas - and explored each of them. She added her expert knowledge of what each style or idea would realistically mean for my hair type, lifestyle, and preference for styling methods. So I've left her salon with a lovely hairstyle that not only feels 'like me' once again , but is also manageable with my lifestyle. I also adore the fact that Karen is highly environmentally conscious and uses friendly products, and recycles everything, even the cut hair. Thank you so much!!
