This is probably one of the best salons out there. It’s a hidden gem I discovered. Micheal is great stylist and barber. He is friendly, takes his time and gives advice. I highly recommend Poiz Beauty Salon.

Always my favorite place to visit! Giulia Love Salon consistently transforms me into my best self with the care, attention, and love they provide. This is probably my 10th visit, and every time I experience the same joyous journey of letting my inner beauty shine on the outside. Getting my lashes done with Katie is always a treat! She is extremely professional even when I fall asleep and starts snoring away!! Her work is excellent and my lashes don’t feel heavy. She creates a very relaxed atmosphere and is just the best lash professional in Long Island City!! I will recommend her to anyone in the neighborhood!!

Honestly Fabio was a lifesaver for my engagement shoot. The hotel water in NYC was not kind to my hair, and you could never tell with how Fabio styled and washed my hair! The blowout and style lasted for days, and his salon is so quick. Located in the UES, I'd make any excuse to go back here!

I just got my 2nd haircut with Chi. My first one was last fall when I was working in NYC for a few months,. I loved the asymmetrical style she gave me so much that I returned this weekend though I'm only visiting the city for a few days. My salon in San Francisco just doesn't match up! Chi has an eye for what will look good, and makes it happen with such ease.

I got my eyelashes done for the first time today by Katie. Before my appointment she texted me directions and pictures of the building. I explained to her what look I was going for and she did an amazing job! She was so nice and gave me a little care package at the end of my appointment. If you are in the New York/ Long Island City area I definitely recommend her!

I had a fantastic styling done by Ali (truly incredible), but he made comments that my hair didn’t need to be straightened and tried to persuade me to go against what I consider, as an African American in a hair salon, to be a finished look following a blow out. Again, he did an absolutely beautiful job, but the repeat comments (both during this appointment and my last appointment with him) made me feel like I wasn’t a valued customer and felt like he did not want to do my hair. Still very happy and very grateful, but that didn’t feel great.

Laiz was great! I've tried lots of salons but my search is over. She explained what my hair needed and walked me through a low maintenance 1 product routine that gave me the same curls as my 4 product hour-long routine did! Love my cut too!

What a wonderful first time experience at Poiz Beauty Salon! My stylist Ainur was so welcoming and gave me exactly what I asked for. I just showed her a picture and she worked her magic ✨.
